Free Resources for Christian Leaders

There is a fairly new site that is full of free resources for church leaders – Ministry 127. The folks at Lancaster Baptist Church in Lancaster, CA gathered leaders from around the USA and abroad to create this great site. Not only will you find a wealth of articles on a variety of subjects, but there is also stuff for those involved in church media. My church used “Consider Christ” in a recent communion service; it is one of many videos available freely. There is also a growing collection of images for use in Powerpoint slides for sermons and announcements.

They add new resources constantly and it is all available for free! Below is a video introduction to the site:

Where have you found helpful free resources for church ministry? Let me know in the comments and I will write on about it in the future!

I stumbled on to your site while researching some stuff for my wpforministry.com website, designed to help churches use WordPress….so I like what you have here.

I have a page on my personal blog with some free church resources I’ve come across:

I’m going to add Ministry 127. Thanks for the heads up!

Hello Nick, thanks for your sharing your collection of resources! Best wishes on wpforministry.com – I actually tried to acquire it too, but you must be the guy who made an offer first! :-)

I think WordPress is a tremendous tool for churches. I’ll be releasing a new sermons plugin utilizing custom post types soon, as well as a theme or two and some WordPress training for churches.

Sorry! I just hope I can make wpforministry.com really helpful. I’m looking forward to the sermons plugin. I actually wrote up a draft post about that to highlight what’s out there now. It will be good to share what you develop.
